When do ford transit timing belts need changing?

Ford recommend:

07/98: Replacement every 60,000 miles or 5 years, whichever occurs first.

08/98 : Replacement every 50,000 miles or 5 years, whichever occurs first.

The previous use and service history of the vehicle must always be taken into account.|||about 30 thousand miles|||they dont need to be because its a chain not a belt on a transit|||Frequently. They are very sneaky so change them early so they don%26#039;t get a chance to break on you.|||80000 and if they snap just remove push rods hammer them straight and fit new belt.No need to remove head as valve stems are stronger than push rods so they bend before the valves do.2.4 Duratorq motor is chain and good for 150000 miles
