Changed belts and now i have Squeaky noise?

I had a mechanic changed the timing belt, Alternator belt and AC fan belt on my Mazda 626 2002

Since then when my car is cold and I start the car after driving for 10 sec it make a Squeaky noise. This noise come for like 1 or 2 sec and then it goes away. I took it back to the mechanic and he has adjusted the belts. However the problem remains. Someone was telling me that this happens because the pulley is still old and the tension may be just too much for it.

Any thoughts?

Nope, squeak means that the belts are slipping.

i know a girl who is having the same problem on her 1998 Jeep Cherokee. She changed all the belts and it sounds like it's screaming. But it only does when she's got the air conditioner on.

When they changed the belts, did they change your idler pulley?

if not, go back and pay to get the idler pulley changed.

This is true. After replacing a belt sometimes it makes noise until it well as thy say wears in. If ti keeps doing this after a few weeks have the pulleys checked for tension.
sounds like it still needs adjusting.. a mount could be loose or bent also.
When you start it cold, spray wd-40 on the belt before you drive it. Spray it in a spot that is open, so as not to get it on any pulley. If the noise stops, its the belt. If no difference, its a pulley or pulley brg.
Look at the belts where they make contact with the pully ,,,

Are they shiny and look glazed over ??? if so take a regular spray bottle with little dawn dish washing soap and water , with engine running , spray the belts and let run , spray second time ,, may wash glaze off belts as it cleans the pullys ,,,
bottom line if the belt is squeaking there is something wrong. either the adjuster pulley is not aligned properly or its the wrong belt or something of that nature. there is no such thing as a belt wearing in. thats something an incompetent mechanic will tell you so he doesn't have to fix his mistake for free. were the belts squeaking before he changed them? if not then its definitely something he did. if they were then he didn't fix the problem, just gave you some new belts.
Usually alternator belts squeak when it isn't tensioned properly. If it is not tensioned properly you run the risk of the belt snapping. Maybe your mechanic wants you to keep coming back lol. Anyway check the tensioner because the belt probably isn't tight enough.
