Neon 2004 - when should i change timing belt?

I am planning to buying a neon 2004, which has 109k kms (around 68k miles) on it. when do i have to replace timing belt? i remember somebody saying 80k miles (132k kms) for japenese cars. i don't have car manual. does the 80k miles apply to neon as well? any other advice on 2004 neons. Thanks.

Usually every 100.000kms. Also, replace the water pump and idler pulley at the same time as the timing belt. The 2.0L motor in the Neon is an interference motor so if the belt breaks, it will do a lot of damage to the valvetrain.

90 to 100k miles
Most car manufacturer's recommend replacement at about 90,000 miles. It is pretty standard to all vehicles.
